The Strut'N Mutt is growing by leaps'N bounds! We're looking for experienced, dedicated and caring pet care professionals who don't mind getting down'N dirty with our Adventure'N Crew and simply love raise'N paws for every pet care assignment that comes their way!
Pack Leaders must be well-versed and exceptionally confident in handling emergency pet situations, able to demonstrate an extensive knowledge of pet behavior, and currently own at least one or more dogs or cats to qualify for a position with The Strut'N Mutt. Eligible candidates own a reliable vehicle, have daily access to a computer, and own a cell phone equipped with email/texting services. Applicants must also be ready to become Red Cross Pet First Aid Certified, as well as willing to pay for certification.
Pack Leaders are required to pass a criminal background check prior to accepting any pet care assignments. All staff members are considered independent contractors and must submit a 1099 at the end of the year. Full-time Pack Leaders are expected to maintain a consistent schedule of availability between the hours of 10-2, Monday through Friday, although preference is given to those applicants that are available additional hours, holidays, weekends, and overnights.
Pet Sit'N and Dog Walk'N can provide an incredible opportunity for the right person looking for supplemental income. Pack Leaders can reasonably expect to earn anywhere from $100.00 - $250.00 per week or more, depending upon availability and location.
Pack Leaders must also be ready and willing to handle the following with a smile:
-all types of weather conditions including humidity, heat, sleet, snow, winds and rain
-ready to start immediately and commit long-term for at least 9 months
-willing to sign a non-compete/non-disclosure contract
-be at least 21 years of age
-pay all of their own taxes
-interact with all pets, large and small
-confidently handle pulling dogs
-poop'N scoop cleanup detail
-constant, daily exercise
-travel constantly within assigned routes
-must remain on call during slow periods
-fluctuating schedules within hours of availability
-last minute schedule changes followed up with provision of quick, efficient response
